Frequently Asked Questions
+ How do I get started?
Send me a message by clicking here or you can call me at 415-529-5655. We can set up a short call to discuss what’s bringing you to therapy and if I may be a good fit for you.
+ Do you accept insurance?
I am not paneled with insurance companies. However, many insurance plans allow you to see a provider of your choice and will reimburse you a portion of the fee. You can contact your insurance carrier before your first session and ask about your benefits for outpatient psychotherapy (also sometimes called behavioral health). Ask if your plan covers out of network mental health providers and find out what is the process to get reimbursed.
Please see below regarding the process for reimbursement.
+ Will my insurance company reimburse me for therapy?
If you have a PPO health insurance plan, your behavioral health carrier will likely reimburse you for a portion of my fee. I will send you a monthly statement (often called a superbill) for you to submit to your insurance carrier.
+ Do you offer a sliding scale?
I maintain a certain number of slots for clients who might need a sliding scale. I am currently prioritizing teachers and frontline and essential workers during this time. Please get in touch to find out if a sliding scale space is open.
+ Is your office ADA accessible?
Our building is ADA accessible. I'm on the second floor, and the building has an elevator. There is also a lot of parking in the immediate area.
+ Do you work with any Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)?
I am paneled with several Employee Assistance Panels including Lyra and Concern. Please let me know if you work for a company that offers EAP benefits.
